Lehigh County, Pennsylvania (July 30, 2017) – A 6-year-old child was injured after two cars collided Sunday in Lehigh County.

The Lower Milford Township accident took place at 6:14 p.m. along Limeport Pike in Lower Milford Township.

24-year-old Tanya M. Hinkle of Pottsville was driving a 2000 Jeep Grand Cherokee eastbound when she collided with Gunter W. Simon aged 41 years from Schwenksville who was driving a 2010 Ford Expedition westbound.

Hinkle tried to turn left into a driveway at 1462 Limeport Pike and pulled directly into the path of Simon, and they both crashed.

Hinkle was with three passengers, Brenda Hinkle, 54, and two children, one aged 6 and an infant. The 6-year-old child sustained serious injuries in the crash while the others were not hurt.

Simon was also with three passengers, all children aged 4,8, and 10 and all were not hurt.

The identity of the victim was not immediately released.

An investigation into the crash is underway.
