Two Local Men Injured in Head-on Crash on Cedar Springs Road Walker Township

Mexico, Pennsylvania (July 28, 2017) – Two men were injured Wednesday morning in a head-on crash in Walker Township, Pennsylvania State Police said.

The accident occurred at just before 6 a.m. Wednesday, July 26, on Cedar Springs Road.

According to the report, Jeremy M. Leach, 32, of Mifflintown was driving a 1993 Oldsmobile Cutlass Ciera on Cedar Springs Road when tried to pass another car in a “no passing zone.”  As Leach began to pass the car, he noticed an oncoming a 2007 Chevrolet Silverado, driven by Gregory Minium, 51, of Honey Grove.

Reportedly, Leach lost control of his car and went off the roadway. At the same time, Minium noticed Leach’s car and also left the roadway while trying to avoid a crash. That is when the two cars collided head-on and became disabled.

Both drivers sustained minor injuries.

The incident remains under investigation.
