One Injured in Hit-and-Run Accident in Fayette County

Fayette County, Pennsylvania (July 31, 2017) – A pedestrian was hit and injured by a driver who fled the scene on Friday in Fayette County, according to state police

The accident took place just after midnight July 28 near the Speedy Moody’s Station along Route 119 south of Dunbar Township.

As per police, the car was headed south on the highway when it hit the pedestrian.

According to authorities, the victim was transported to Ruby Memorial Hospital in Morgantown, W.Va, with serious injuries.

State police in Uniontown are looking for the public’s help in finding the driver of a car believed to be a black Lincoln MKC sports Utility with a side mirror missing on the passenger’s side.

The suspected driver was described to be an older white man with a scruffy beard.

Police are still investigating the crash to determine its cause and the responsible party.

Anyone with evidence of the crash is urged to call police at 724-439-7111.
