Bicyclist Brett Warner Hit and Killed in Dunbar Township Crash

Fayette County, Pennsylvania (August 5, 2017) –A bicycle rider was struck by a car and killed on Friday morning in Dunbar Township, Fayette County, according to Pennsylvania State Police.

The fatal crash was reported at about 3:30 a.m. on Route 119 northbound between Bell Drive and Prince Street.

The victim identified as Brett Warner, 27, of Burlington, North Carolina was a traveling carnival worker in town for the annual Fayette County Fair.

According to police, the bicycle rider was not wearing reflective clothing and was riding in the middle of the road with the car in the left lane when the fatal crash occurred.

The bicycle was located on the road in front of a car which had been smashed at the windshield, as per a local news source.

Police mentioned that the bicyclist was struck by one car and went over the roof before being hit by another car.

Limited information regarding whether the bicycle operator died at the crash site or was taken to a hospital was available at the time of the report.

Police are still investigating the incident to determine the cause and liability.
