Boyd Shirey Killed in Graham Township after being Struck by Car

Graham Township, Pennsylvania (August 14, 2017) – A man was hit and killed by a car on Thursday night in Clearfield County, according to County Coroner.

The fatal incident occurred at 9:40 p.m. in the 3600 block of Deer Creek Road in Graham Township.

The deceased man identified as Boyd Shirey, 77, of Morrisdale, had stopped his car to move a dead deer off the road when he was hit.

According to State police in Clearfield, a girl-woman, 19, driving a 2013 Ford Focus is thought to be a hit-and-run driver.

Police towed a silver car in the driveway at a house on Palestine Road as they were collecting evidence related to the fatal hit and run incident.

The crash remained under an investigation by police.
