Hickory TWP, Pennsylvania (July 30, 2017) – A child pedestrian was hit by a motorcycle Sunday morning in the Hickory Township, Forest County.

A 2009 Harley Davidson was traveling North on Route 62 when a child ran onto the highway directly in front of the motorcycle.  Marienville-based State Police said the accident occurred at around 11:35 a. m.

The driver of the motorcycle tried to avoid hitting the child but was unsuccessful.

Tionesta EMS and Fire Department, West Hickory Fire Department, STAT Med Evac, and Forest County’s Sheriff’s Office assisted State Police at the scene of the accident.

The child was airlifted to Children’s Hospital in Pittsburg with non-life-threatening injuries.
