Fairmount Park, Philadelphia (August 5, 2017) – A man was killed in a road collision along Kelly Drive on Friday night.

The incident, which involved a motorcycle and a car, occurred just after 10 p.m. August 4 at the intersection of Fountain Green Drive and Kelly Drive.

Reports indicate that a 32-year-old motorcyclist who was seriously injured was rushed to Hahnemann Hospital but was pronounced dead on arrival.

The SUV driver, an 18-year-old,  did not suffer any serious injuries.

Philadelphia police say that the man was hit as the SUV was turning left onto Kelly drive. The impact caused the man to be thrown from the motorcycle and onto the roadway.

The identity of the deceased was not immediately available.

The incident is still under investigation.
