Gettysburg, PA (August 11, 2017) – Police in Gettysburg Pennsylvania are investigating an incident where a pickup truck crashed into a tour bus parked on the side of the road on Monday afternoon.

The incident occurred on August 8, 2017, in the 300 block of Buford Avenue.

Nine people who were on the tour bus were seriously injured and were taken to the hospital. Their identities, however, are yet to be made available.

The driver of the pickup truck was taken to a hospital by his wife.

Police at the scene determined that the bus was legally parked and had its hazard lights blinking. Reports indicate that the driver of the pickup truck had dropped an item on the floor of the car and as he bent to retrieve it crashed into the tour bus.

The police say that charges are expected.
