One Injured in Bell Township Head-On Crash

Westmoreland County, Pennsylvania (August 3, 2017) – One person sustained injuries in a head-on crash in Westmoreland County on Tuesday morning, as per Westmoreland County 911 supervisors.
The incident took place at around 6:20 a.m. Tuesday, August 1, on Route 380 in front of the Bell Township Municipal Building.
One victim was trapped, and emergency responders blocked the two-lane road at the crash site.
The extent of injuries was not clear although the second ambulance heading to the scene was called off while crews worked to free the trapped driver who was later taken to a local hospital.
Police are still investigating the incident to ascertain its cause and the responsible party.
