Pilot Herbert Rose, 60, Injured in Plane Crash in Dauphin County

Dauphin County, Pennsylvania (August 10, 2017) – A pilot aged 60 years was injured when his experimental amateur Pietenpol Air Camper plane crashed on Wednesday morning in Dauphin County, according to state police.

The crash took place at about 9:15 a.m. August 9, at the Bendigo Airport in Rush Township.

The Federal Aviation Administration said that the registered owner of the plane is Herbert D. Rose, of the first block of Moyer Street in Sacramento Township, Schuylkill County. Rose is the plane’s manufacturer as per the FAA.

According to the state police, the pilot was taken by air to Geisinger Medical Center where he was listed in critical condition.

Authorities were still investigating the crash to determine its cause.
