Three Injured in Snyder County Car Crash on New Berlin Highway

Snyder County, PA (August 1, 2017) – Three People were injured Thursday evening a car crash in Snyder County, according to a police report

The crash took place Thursday, July 27, at New Berlin Highway and State Route 104 in Snyder County.

According to Selinsgrove State Police, Jeremy Shipman of Shamokin Dam and Mason Ritter of Selinsgrove were driving in Hyundai Elantra on New Berlin Highway at about 5:50. Shipman stopped the car at the intersection with 104 State Route and planned to turn towards Middleburg Borough.

Trooper further added that Shipman was unable to turn successfully and a 2002 Chevrolet Silverado smashed into his vehicle. 22-year-old Steven Young was driving Silverado.

Shipman was transported to Evangelical Community Hospital for a possible leg injury.

Ritter was discharged from the hospital after being treated for a laceration to his head. Young suffered a minor facial injury, police say, but declined medical attention.
