Two Injured In Two Separate Crashes in Washington County

Washington, Pennsylvania (August 3, 2017) – Two people were injured and hospitalized following two separate crashes in Wilmington County on Thursday morning, as per authorities.

The incident occurred at about 8:15 a.m. on the westbound lanes of Interstate 70 between Route 519 and Interstate 79.

The accidents involved up to five vehicles including two tractor- trailers. Two victims were hospitalized at Pittsburgh-area hospitals.

One of the trucks was hauling about 40,000 pounds of liquid soap which were spilling onto the roadway after the crash.

The highway had been reopened by 10:30 a.m.

Authorities are still investigating the wreck to determine its cause.
