Two Women Recovering after being Hit by Car in Scranton

Lackawanna County, Pennsylvania (August 1, 2017) – Two women were hit and injured by a car while with a group of runners on the trail in Scranton on Saturday morning, according to police.

The accident took place on Broadway Street at the Lackawanna River Heritage Trail crossing.

The two were taken to a hospital. Broadway Street was closed as emergency crews attended to two women who were injured in the crash.

One of the women was still in the hospital. The other woman was injured at the back and is recovering at home.

An investigation into the crash was still ongoing.
