Woman Injured in Two-Car Crash on Route 378 in Upper Saucon Township

Upper Saucon TWP, PA (August 12, 2017) – A woman was seriously injured when two cars collided on Route 378 in Upper Saucon Township on Friday night.

Emergency Radio reports showed that the accident occurred at around 10:43 p.m. August 11,  in the northbound lanes of the highway at East Oakhurst Drive, between Saucon Valley Country Club and I-78.

The woman remained trapped inside her badly damaged car for close to 20 minutes before she was extricated by a team from the fire department.

It is reported that the unidentified woman was unconscious shortly after the crash.

An investigation is underway to determine the events preceding the crash.

The collision resulted in a temporary shutdown of Route 378 as the scene was cleared.
