WASHINGTON COUNTY (JULY 25, 17) — A person died in a car crash on I-79 in Washington County on Monday.

According to police, the incident took place around 11 a.m. on I-79 near Racetrack Road.

69-year-old Michael Anthony Gordon of Washington, PA, was traveling behind a tractor trailer. The tractor slowed down due to roadwork but Gordon was unable to slow down and his vehicle crashed into the rear of the tractor trailer, causing his car to roll several times. According to police, Gordon died at the scene.
