89-Year-Old Woman Hit and Killed in Traffic Crash in Bustleton

Bustleton, Pennsylvania (July 29, 2017) – An 89-year-old woman was fatally struck by a car Thursday afternoon in Bustletown, as reported by a local news source.

The collision happened at approximately 2:10 p.m. Thursday, July 28 near the intersection of Grant Avenue and Krewston Road.

According to police, a 62-year-old woman was behind the wheel of a Toyota when she lost control of the vehicle and struck two other vehicles traveling in the same direction on Grant Avenue. After the crash with the vehicles, the car continued onto the sidewalk and hit an 89-year-old pedestrian.

The driver stopped and waited at the scene.

The victim was rushed to the hospital and was listed in critical condition. Unfortunately, she died later owing to her injuries.

An investigation is ongoing.
