Kensington, Philadelphia (August 5, 2017) – A man died after being hit by a car in Kensington Philadelphia on Friday night.

The incident happened about 10:30 p.m. August 4, near E Street and Allegheny Avenue.

It is reported that the victim remained trapped underneath the car after being struck. Efforts by the emergency crew to save the man failed.

Authorities say the man was 36 years old, but no name was immediately provided.

The driver of the car remained at the scene after the incident.

The police are still investigating the incident, and no charges have been filed yet.
