Tractor-Trailer Hits Man Directing Truck to Lot for Delivery in Reading

Reading, Pennsylvania (July 31, 2017) – A man was struck and injured by a tractor-trailer while directing the truck was injured on Monday morning.

The accident happened about 11 a.m., outside the Family Dollar Store in the 400 block of South Sixth Street.

The injured man was taken to the hospital.  The extent of his injuries was not known, said police.

The tractor-trailer also hit a fence, police say, which caused debris to be strewn in the area.
